I am having trouble finding safe places to go; all I ever seem to read about is the danger, always travel in big groups and stay away from big cities like Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth. I have questioned myself a couple of times because of this. I wear both glasses and contacts. I am wondering which one would be o.k. to wear if I went backpacking for more than one day. I know glasses would be easier, however they get in the way sometimes, and contacts are a little less convenient, but they once they are in you don’t have to worry about anything.

It will be a very long trip several months or possibly years if I can find a way to make money on the road. The laptop will be used for checking e-mails, photo editing, bloging, ect.
