Not sure if the setting is Europe or south america, or if the girls are even irish. This is what I remember after seeing the film on the IFC channel a while back. This movie is fairly new (within the last 20 years I am sure) and was an interesting travel movie.
Unable so far to find it on IMDB or from searching keywords on google. I am quite sure it is a movie and not a series.
